the rebels talked through sams concerns around alternative forms of education and devised a forged education curriculum for nsw.

the submission:

what overwhelms you?

“Countering the system of education, its powerful sway towards compliance and hierarchies versus finding avenues for play based learning for all ages.”

and why?

“Ideals for my child’s education are slipping away from me. Alternatives are time-expensive, home-schooling, unschooling, etc.”

sam, 12.9.20.

the thinking:

what is the idea we are moving forward with?

drawing from sam’s concerned with the pull of mainstream system of education the thinkers

at the table we discussed how alternatives are not only time expensive but costly and prohibitive.

how can we do it?

we came up with a tiny forgery to create a fake ‘department of education’ addition to the curriculum.

this would feature instructions on how to turn wifi off…

then go outside for a walk and plant some tomatoes.

where does it need to take place?

are there any legal implications to the activity?
