tarryn’s sound bomb:

a sonic way to fight back against cat calling and harrassment on the street.

the submission:

street harassment and catcalling has been overwhelming me of late.
tiny revolution to stop aggression towards women in public spaces!

tarryn, 14.10.19.

the thinking:

what is the idea we are moving forward with?

sound bomb [prototype].
contains all the animals sounds to represent all the cat calling.
with a female war cry at the end

how can we do it?

its a portable speakers and mp3 player that can be carried and tested out.
next time she is harassed on the street she can drop her sound bomb and move on.
it has a label on it that says ‘this sound bomb was left in public space after an incident of harassment. please feel free to pick this up and pass on to another women who may need it.’

where does it need to take place?

hand over to tarryn.
demonstrate it to her.

are there any legal implications to the activity?

maybe seen as littering.
but has the offer to be reuse.
